2016 FII Tenerife Freediving Camp

Get ready for the FII Tenerife Freediving Camp running August 5-12, 2016! This freediving camp allows you to freedive and train in one of the most desirable freediving locations in the world under expert supervision with the very best safety set-ups offered! It is situated in Tenerife (land of the eternal spring time) located in the Canary Islands, Spain. Not only will you have an amazing freediving experience, but you will also be able to experience the island’s natural wonders such as volcanoes, cliffs, forests and of course, the wonderful gastronomy of Spain!
Who's the camp for? Any freediver who’s up for adventure and looking for 6-days of world-class freediving training in perfect conditions!
Pre-Requisites: Open to certified freedivers only. For non FII-certified divers (those freedivers who are coming from other agencies), you will be required to attend a 5 hour FII Basic Freedive Safety Course on the first day.
Freedivers will be limited to the depths of their respective certifications.
Participants must be in good physical condition – See FII Medical Release.

Biography of Camp Instructors:
David Cani - David Cani is the Director of FII Europe and FII Instructor Trainer. He was the Head Coach of the Czech Republic Freediving Team (2006, 2008, 2009) leading his team to silver medals in the AIDA Team World Championships in 2006 and 2008. David is an AIDA International Judge since 2005 and most notably the Chief Organizer of Martin Stepanek's Word Record Events and his personal Chief Safety Diver. David specializes in assisting athletes for competition preparations and as a National Breaststroke Champion enjoys sharing his expertise in the discipline of constant weight without fins (personal record -70m without fins). Errol Putigna - FII Instructor Trainer, USA. Errol has trained and worked alongside Martin Stepanek for eight years and as a highly regarded FII Instructor having trained hundreds of students worldwide. Errol's outstanding organizational skills mean clients can rely on his world-class training events for competition preparations, relaxed recreational freediving training sessions, and polishing fundamentals to improve upon their spearfishing. He is a staunch advocate of freediving safety and ensures clients can relax and enjoy the safest in-water training environment. He is also a talented underwater photographer and spearfisherman. Amro Al-Hamad- Amro is an FII Freediving Instructor based in Doha, Qatar. As one of the Middle East’s most sought after freediving instructors and a world-class race car driver, Amro enjoys sharing his advanced sports psychology techniques to help athletes improve their freediving and overcome mental hurdles - big or small. He is part of the successful FII Freediving Facility Qatarsub and the current Qatari National Freediving Champion. Fluent Languages: Arabic and English

Payment(s): Total for camp participation is $750 USD. A non-refundable deposit of $300 USD is required to secure a spot. Final balance will be due no later than July 1, 2015.
A final itinerary will be released on July 1, 2016.
