Mike began freediving while managing a scuba shop in Texas and quickly fell in love with the activity and lifestyle. He has worked his way through the FII training program and attended the FII Kona Camp to fine tune his freediving skills. He has had the amazing opportunity to train several times with FII Founder and 13-time World Record holder Martin Stepanek. With over 10 years of experience teaching scuba he decided to share his passion for freediving as well. Mike's favorite part of freediving is feeling the connection to the underwater world and the difference in the animal interactions that happen while freediving rather than on scuba. He loves underwater videography and photography as well as the healthy lifestyle that comes with freediving. In 2018 he formed Lost Coast Divers to help his fellow land-locked divers create a community of divers looking for their own "coast". Join Mike in one of his classes to not only learn to safely increase your breath-hold ability but also to enter the amazing world of freediving and have a blast underwater!
