It would be (would have been) helpful to have the manual before class began. While the concepts are basic in Level 1, it’s probably much more important to understand the physiology prior to a more advanced class, e.g. Level 2.

Joe did a great job. Personable, approachable. He did a good job explaining the theory part. He did a good job managing the class, ensuring the students knew where to go, when to be there, and with what equipment. The pool session was good. His demonstrations and critiques were helpful and constructive.
